The Cullinan Diamond

Weighing at a whooping 621.35 grams, the Cullinan is the largest diamond ever found. This massive stone was found at South Africa in 1905 and was gifted to Britain's King Edward VII for his birthday.

Because of its size, it was cit into nine large stones and almost a hundred smaller ones. Some of these diamonds were set on the British Sovereign's Royal Sceptre and the Imperial State Crown.

The Koh-I-Noor

Once owned by various Indian and Persian rulers, the 106-carat Koh-I-Noor is estimated to be over five thousand years old. It was then acquires by Queen Victoria when Britain conquered Persian.

The long and rich history surrounding the stone makes it a priceless piece. Today, this prized diamond is on display in the Tower of London as part of the prestigious British Crown Jewels.

The Hope Diamond

Not only the Hope Diamond known for its unique dark grey-blue colour, but also for the bad luck it allegedly left along its path. many believe that this 400-year-old cushion cut piece is cursed.

Whether this is true or not, the Hope of Diamond remains to be one of the most valuable diamonds, estimated at $250 million. This legendary stone now lies in the care of the Smithsonians Institutions.

The Moussaieff Red Diamond

Red diamonds are the rarest and the most sought- after diamonds among other colours, so when a farmwe in Brazil unearthed a 13.90-carat deep red diamond, it quickly gained international attention.

Out of all the approximately thirty natural red diamonds ever found, the triangular brilliant cut Moussaieff Red is the largest fancy red diamonds graded by the Gemological Institute of America.

The Pink Star

Originally, known as the Steinmetz Pink, the Pink Star is the largest diamond to be classified as a vivid pink stone. The 59.60-carat mixed oval cut stone possesses an outstanding optical transparency.

Mined by De Beers at Africa in 1999, it was bought by renowned jeweller Chow Tai Fook on 2017 or $71.2 million, setting the record for the world's most expensive gemstone ever sold at an auction.
